From the Truman Library site: “As America approaches its 250th birthday, The Story of Us: America at 250 invites visitors of all ages to experience the ideals, conflicts and turning points that shaped our nation. Featuring rare historic documents on loan from the National Archives—many rarely seen outside Washington, D.C.—the exhibition brings America’s founding ideals to life and traces how they have been tested, challenged and expanded over 250 years.”
